Former Bear Raymont Harris once dubbed himself the ''ultraback,'' and it was appropriate given all of the responsibilities he had in the offense when he started out as a fullback.
As the Bears grow into Ron Turner's scheme in the second season -- they have scored more than the 26 points they posted Sunday at Green Bay only four times in the last three years -- the fullback role is sprouting, too. Stung by injuries last season to Bryan Johnson and Jason McKie, the Bears just now are getting a true look at the position.
