Default UP NEXT: Seahawks(3-0) at Bears (3-0)

7:15 p.m. Sunday / WMAQ-Ch. 5

BEARS 19 VIKINGS 16

Published September 25, 2006

FIRST LOOK: The NFC North preseason is over for the Bears. The Seahawks now give the Bears a chance to show on national television whether they belong among the NFC elite. The defending NFC champions are 3-0 after edging Detroit, beating Arizona and then playing their best game Sunday against the Giants. The addition of receiver Deion Branch from New England plus the presence of running back Shaun Alexander give the Seahawks more offensive talent than the Bears' defense has seen all season.

KEY STAT: The Seahawks were the highest-scoring team in the league and the Bears allowed the fewest points last year. As early as this game is, it could decide home-field advantage in the playoffs.

KEY MATCHUP: Seahawks LG Chris Spencer vs. Bears DT Tommie Harris

The Seahawks lost All-Pro left guard Steve Hutchinson to Minnesota in free agency. Replacement Floyd "Pork Chop" Womack is hurt, leaving backup center Spencer as the starter.

DON PIERSONS EARLY PICK: Bears 20-17

I just hope this game lives up to the hype. I actually like the Bears in this one too though.

I have to go with the Bears as well. They have something to prove in this game. Plus with Alexander out, things don't look good for the Seahawks.
