Rookie fullback J.D. Runnels, a sixth-round draft pick from Oklahoma, shares his thoughts in a weekly diary on ChicagoBears.com:
It’s a great feeling to go on the road and silence a loud crowd like we did Sunday in Minnesota. I didn’t suit up for the game, but I’ve never wished that I was out on the field more because what we accomplished was amazing. The offense overcame so much adversity and the defense played a near-perfect game, which is what we’ve become accustomed to.
I’ve only played in two stadiums that were as loud as the Metrodome was Sunday. One was the Nokia Sugar Bowl when we played LSU in the Louisiana Superdome. The other was when we played down at Texas A&M when we were ranked No. 1 in the country.
