Dear Al and John,

Hope the Madden Cruiser exceeded 15 miles per hour in Dan Ryan traffic, but doubt it.

That road, by the way, is not the only thing torn up since the last time you two were here as part of ABC's "Monday Night Football," on Sept. 29, 2003.

That was 15 days before Steve Bartman couldn't get out of the way of Cubs history and preceded a roster overhaul, five weeks before the Sox hired Ozzie Guillen to install a World Series champion, and three months before the Bears began a makeover by firing Dick Jauron.

Welcome back, guys. A lot has changed.
