I really don't want Briggs to leave for one reason:

we'll have another Bryan Knight experiment...probably featuring Jamar Williams or someone like that

Bryan Knight was an OLB experiement BEFORE the Tampa 2 was installed.

to see how the WIL's skill set is overexaggurated in this scheme please take a look at David Thornton and Cato June in Indianapolis.

Briggs, frankly, probably isn't even worth what the bears offered.

I don't see the Panthers moving on Briggs but I'd drop a few guys (Adams and Diggs) for a guy like him. He'll cost a fortune though and thats not the Panthers mo.

Would be a huge addition in a questionable area however.

I'm not so sure... they've spent a fortune in free agency the last few years.

Wahle.
Lucas.
Kemoeatu.
Hartwig.
Keyshawn.

I don't think Briggs is out of the question at all...

I mean really... you gotta spend the $$ somewhere. Why not lock up a playmaker like Briggs? There are quite a few veterans in the LB corps that are just "guys".

Surprise cuts? Mike Rucker, Kris Mangum?

You're right, as normal. I doubt Briggs will be a Bear next year. We will be fine without him though, tough loss but we will do without him.
