no no no no....Is it me or is he the only TE to go down on first contact no matter who is hitting him? Now granted he has had a good year and is making the catches that he would normally drop (sometimes) but man the fact that he goes down almost immediately after the catch tells me the postion can be upgraded.....And I tell you I was stunned....STUNNED I say that he caught that pass over the middle and hung on to the ball on his second TD catch......

Really I don't think that is much of a problem at all. Ninety percent of the time when they are going to Clark, he gets the first down just by catching it. So I really don't mind him dropping on first contact. I think it might even be by design with him... why risk a fumble? or an injury to a guy who is up their in football years and doesn't have a competent back up?
Besides, you'll notice when he is near the endzone he will make that extra push past the contact for the TD.
I'm not saying they shouldn't upgrade the position. We've seen teams with two good TE have a lot of success this season, and Des is old and injury prone. I just bumped this thread because Des had a hell of a game, both running routes and blocking, and I think he should get some love for it.
