Offense
The offensive line is a good core. They just need to quit the false starts. I think they will come around sept. 10th.
I think Grossman has proven that he is the #2 QB on this team right now. Griese has proven he can read D's better and he just looks like a vet. Dont get me wrong, I have been a strong pro Grossman fan, but right now Griese is the better QB. I still beleive that Grossman will be our QB down the road.
Moose, Deion Branch, and Mark Bradley would make a dream receiver core. Berrien has sucked ***.
Defense
Im not impressed. Corners suck, safetys suck, and the line is beat up. Linebackers kicked *** as usual. I dont think they are as good as they were last year. I sure hope they prove me wrong.
Special Teams.
Loook perfect to me. Great blocking, Good sight, and Great tackling. I'm happy!
I hope they looking better in week onebut right now I see them average at best. I had high expectations for this year but it doesn't look bright.
I just hope Lovie makes the right decision and moves Griese to number 1. Thee look on Grossmans face and his interview tells me he already knows its coming.

If the D proves to be mortal (#10) this year, and the O somehow manages to get to the middle of the pack, we;ll be alright........at least to retain the North.

I'm taking this preseason for what it is, and that's preseason. Some of the concerns are valid, but you have to remember we've been without Vasher and Brown. Yes, Vasher's presence hurts, but Brown is the Captain of the secondary and is just playing it safe this year while a second year sixth-round rookie tries to take his place.
I'm not really too terribly concerned. Yes, you play to win, but I think the Bears are using more of preseason to evaluate their youth than really test their veterans. I believe they think last year they got a good barometer of what we're capable of, hence you don't see too many stunts from the line or too many blitzes. ESPECIALLY against teams we're going to be playing this year.
Defensively I think the secondary will hold its own, especially when aforementioned Brown and Vasher come back.
Offensively, this game was the first time Thomas Jones even really carried the ball this whole offseason. Moose and Grossman haven't been able to get their timing down, but I think in due time they should start clicking.
I don't know if we'll be as dominant as we were last year, but I seriously doubt (barring injuries including the one to Alex Brown), we should be incredibly formidable.

yes sorta have to remeber that Scott, Vasher, M Brown, A Brown, and tank were out on D....Not to mention dings to Dusty (foot), Idonije (ankle) and Briggs was taken out after the 2nd qtr for Joe of tonights game cant really measure the D....However Wesley had like 3 or 4 penalties....Chris Harris seems to tackle to high or go for the knock out blow instead of wrapping up properly and the 3rd down D has been teh Suck so far....
Funny moment for the night for me was when the crowd starting chanting "Griese, Griese!!!" even though Rex played pretty decent with the exception of the INT.....

70% of Bears season ticket holders are tools.
Seriously.

The Bears Have to get the running game on track next game or we are in trouble. The line wasn't making very many holes in the running game at all. I think once the running game is set Rex will be but into more makeable third downs (assuming the penalties stop as well)

Well Jones only had 3 carries I think.....Benson isnt back yet and Turner himself said after the 1st pre season game that he wanted to pass more in the pre season cause he knows what the Run O is capable of and wanted to see the pass O.....

Grossman looked fine. If you pair his performance with the regular season running game we should have, and I think we would have had a few more points.
On the other hand, it sure looks like the D is taking a step back. I guess we'll see Sept. 7th.

Most of his passes in the first half were on target. No he didn't look like a probowler, but I'm just not buying the whole "GRIESE IS THE SAVIOR OH MY GODZ" thing. I remember Quinn looking like a stud with the second team a couple years ago. Orton looked like a stud with the 3's last year. We'll see what happens when the season starts, because Grossman didn't play badly enough to lose his job.
And buy the way, my tv is a brand new 42" plasma baby and if it has the power to make bad QB's look good, then I'm all for it.
