Positives.

Rex Grossman. The game speaks for itself.

Oline(pass protection). I don't think Grossman was touched today.

Recievers. - Moose, Berrian looking great

TE's- I may have to eat crow on Desmond Clark.

D-Line. There is not a deeper line in the NFL.

Linebackers - great as usual.

Negatives:

Running game: This is beginning to scare me.

Oline(run blocking) Still not blowing open those running lanes.

defensive backfield. No big plays, but no INT's. Let Kitna pick them apart at times. Mike Brown appears
tenative.

i didnt watch the game, but based on the gamecast, i think you pretty much summed up my opinion

think some of the run game is that we are up so much so early that team expects the Bears to run the ball so they try to take it away....Jones had a few good runs the first few runs if I recall.....

same goes for the secondary....Up so much they just go to cover 2 and defend the deep stuff allowing the underneath stuff......

Just my thoughts on that.....

Rex should have been picked off a few more times. He is still a little bit raw: throwing off his back foot, not looking off defenders at times, taking too many risks while trying to "thread the needle".

He looks so much like an unpolished Favre, he has that cannon arm and can make all the throws. His inexperience shows though. When we have to play a team like Minnesota or Seattle in the coming weeks, we will have to get a running game going, if the offense is forced to lean on the passing game against Minnesota or Seattle, I don't think we will be as fortunate.

I'm happy that he threw more TDs than any other QB today but he has got to get under more control, IMO. Same with Hester, these high risk-high reward type plays could hurt us if they continue.

I am impressed with the team, however, Minnesota and Seattle are not Green Bay and Detroit. They better "bring their lunchbox" next week.
