Regarding Shuan Alexander....that sound you will be hearing this year is his production crashing
back to earth not runnnig behind the best LT LG combo in football. Heck maybe the best combo in the
past decade.

I would say more of the contract that he got than steve hutchinsonis the reason he is falling back to earth..

Probably a combination of the two factors. That and the Madden cover jinx.

I can't wait for Week 4. Bears vs Seahawks.

If the Lions defense is so bad, how did it keep Shaun Alexander and Pro Bowl QB matt Hasselbeck out of the end zone????

For once I have to side with Duds. All we heard after week 1 and before the Lions game was how great the lions defense was...how they would now challenge the Bears for the division after their amazing showing against Seattle.

The Bears beat the living snot out of them and all of a sudden...oh its the Lions who suck and it has nothing to do with the Bears being good. Lions are horrible!

If the Bears go in and beat Minnesota I guarantee you the next thing we hear is how horrible Minnesota is and how terrible their defense is. The Bears will not get any sort of credit unless they beat seattle in week 4 and do it convincingly. Then people will take notice.

As for the ******* who wrote this article...he's the same one who proclaimed that the Bears should bail on Grossman due to his performance in the preseason. He knows very little about football...especially when he tries to base the quality of a player on whether they get drafted in fantasy leagues. Most of us are realistic enough to know that Rex Grossman will probably never be a "fantasy star," but that has no bearing whatsoever on whether he can be a very good and very succesful NFL QB.

These writers get paid to stir the pot as much as anything. I often question how much they truly believe in their own opinions as stated in articles. The media in Chicago has never impressed me much from my limited encounters with it. I remember many of the talking heads wanting to run Harbaugh out of town on a rail back in '92/'93 all the while conveniently forgetting the Bears were simply a BAD TEAM overall those years. When Harbaugh had decent support the Bears posted back-to-back 11-5 seasons in '90 and '91. Then he goes to Indy and darn near QB's them into the Super Bowl.

There isn't any glaring negative out of Rex's first two games. The only thing you look for is consistency. He has to keep it up and stay healthy obviously. I personally don't see why he can't keep it up. He probably won't end up rated over 100 by season's end but he should be able to continue making plays and keeping the Bears in a better position to win games.

As for Rick Morrisey

How does this look to you

Now shut your fat mouth and enjoy a real NFL QB.

I think Bear fans have to admit a couple of things.

1)HOLY CRAP..Is this **** legit?!

2) Crossing their fingers and toes and eyes and...etc, that Rex doesn't get something broken or torn, on his body.

I myself am enjoying the hell out of his success (poor Ds or not), and am glad that he's finally enjoying being an NFL QB. But for me to really breath a sigh of relief, it'll mean he was a pinata in a game, and came out unscathed, aside from some bruising.
