@ Peanut: Jones kicked *** in protection yesterday, actually. But rex still got spooked and would run INTO defenders, or would throw it up and run away. Rookie mistakes.

For some reason I thought that was a penalty of some sort.

I know the horse collar is a penalty, even though the deffinition of the horse collar makes that call kinda iffy, but I didnt think you were allowed to clothesline either....

no the TD drive by the Bears that got them the win Jones was clotheslined on a run by pat williams for a 2 yard gain.....However if I recall Briggs did the same thing last year to ramsey in the redskins game......

Thank God For lousy officiating?> Offensive pass interference on Troy Williamson?....Umm yeah, OK!

TJ's most underrated asset has ALWAYS been his pass protection. I've alsways said this will be the aspect we would miss most if we made one of these hairbrained Ashley Lelie trades people were talking about.

Jones was bad in Blitz Protection yesterday.

He has played poorly in that area most of this year so far. Isn't that one of the top reasons that he was supposed to be a smarter choice than Benson?

Benson was on the field for one play yesterday, the INT for TD by Rex. When you watch the replay of that play, watch Ced. He looks like he is going to be the safety valve on the left but runs into Tait and just sort of stands there after. If he did not run into Tait, I think Rex would have throwhim the ball in the flat. After that Rex gets pressure on his feet, looks right and throws.
[/b]
are you sure benson was in the game on that play? as the "pass" grossman threw on that play was intended for thomas jones and i've never seen the bears run a set with both jones and benson in the backfield.

No. It was Jason McKie and Thomas Jones. No Benson.

If the coaches aren't confident in his blocking then I dont want him to blow a block and have Grossman smeared.
