Personally I could not be happier with the play of the WRs which is pretty amazing after how crappy they looked in preseason and the up and down play of 2005.

Moose - after dropping over a dozen passes last year, he hasn't dropped a single pass this season that I'm aware of. He had an absolutely clutch 3rd down reception on that final scoring drive with a defender draped on his back.

Rashied Davis - I'm really loving this kid. Converted from CB and you could never tell the difference. He runs good routes and has shown good hands. Plus he is our best kick return man right now easily. Hester might have broken the one TD return but Rashied has been CONSISTENT with good returns.

Bernard Berrian - Obviously he has started to break out. And he's shown that he can be more than just a deep threat. Aside from the one bad drop yesterday, he has been catching about everything thrown his way.

Who would have thought the WR position would be this solid so far? Especially with Mark Bradley still on the mend and Gage seemingly not even in the picture!

I desperately wanted us to draft Bernard Berrian.

Unfortunately that was the year we traded our first day away to move back into the first and get Jason Babin

Moose never sucked, he did ok considering the circumstances he was in last year. I mean Kyle Orton was throwing to him... Moose could have been better, yes, and he did drop the ball (literally) a couple of times. But I was logging onto this site all of last year (before I registered of course) and you guys were ripping the holy **** out of him, I thought that was a tad harsh. He was trying to carry the passing game on his shoulders, a tall order for a WR. Couldn't handle all that pressure. But now with the other receivers stepping up their game and Rex throwing more decisive and accurate, he can do his thing.

I'm sick of hearing about Davis being converted from CB. He was a WR/CB in the AFL, who started out playing CB in the NFL, but it was determined he was a better WR because he was used as one on the practice squad.

I did. No quotes to back it up (cause i'm too lazy to go back and look) but i said numerous times that the WR core was ok.

Is there a term that is more cliche than the term "He runs good routes"

I laugh every time I read someone write that because it means absolutely nothing to the writer who never has any grasp of what a good route is or is not. I think its one of the funniest things you can read on a message board. I love those compliments that are totally insupportable and therefore totally immune to criticism. there's no way to challenge a statement like that because there's no way to argue it one way or another.

BY the way, Moose dropped the call pass that was overturned as an incompletion on the sideline that should have been caught.

The pass that Hines Ward would have been hard pressed to come down in bounds with? Yeah right

This coming from a guy who said everyone was wrong about Rashaun Woods being a bust because you saw him catch 7 TD's in a game at Okie State. That is a well-founded argument.

You just can't help but be a ****ing ******* 99% of the time can you? I just started the thread to give the Bears WRs some props not formulate a foolproof super argument against anyone. Take a breath, we all know how knowledgable you think you are.

When a guy is showing an ability to consistently get open, I'd say he probably is running his routes pretty well. But I'm sure with your superior intellect you can tell us all how that has nothing to do with a WR getting open.

Duds doesnt know what a WR looks like. He's a Jets fan, remember? So his idea of "running good routes" is being on the field during the snap and running this way or that. As long as it looks like you are supposed to run that way.
