He was a late first round pick who wasn't signed for a crap load of money and he just signed an extension. So I think they are giving him one last chance to be consistent and show that he can be a decent QB, if not then he is gone and the Bears are still in rebuilding mode on the offense and sone on the defense.

Exactly, what I also remember over the years we've always been on the rebuild on offense.
The Bears have mostly prided themselves for a good/decent defense and seem to make that a priority in the draft.

Of course you know BU54,that if Grossman wins us the SB this season we'll have to eat humble pie.Unlikely but there's a chance.It'll be worth it though.
