His first serious crime could be the death of one of your loved ones. Will it still be OK then? It's very easy to get someone to drive you home. I was a doorman in a bar for 5 years. People always got rides home. Cabs, friends, even strangers.

CINCINNATI (AP) -- Cincinnati Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said Wednesday that he let two players know they've disgraced the team with their off-field legal problems.

"I told the people that yes, you embarrass us as an organization, myself, and the coaches when these things occur," Lewis said of rookie linebacker A.J. Nicholson and second-year receiver Chris Henry. "Right, wrong or indifferent, there are certain things that you're asked not to be a part of or around."

Lewis insisted, however, that the recent arrests of Nicholson and Henry -- Henry's third arrest within seven months -- aren't distractions to the team as it prepares for summer minicamp next week.

"We'll move forward and move on, and they'll be dealt with as they are allowed to be dealt with," Lewis said after players gathered for a voluntary practice.

Nicholson, 21, is charged with grand theft and burglary, both felonies, in a break-in at a former Florida State teammate's apartment in Tallahassee, Fla. He was the Bengals' fifth-round draft choice this year.

Henry, 23, drafted in the third round last year from West Virginia, is recovering from a January knee injury. He was charged Sunday in nearby Clermont County with speeding and drunken driving. He also faces trial Aug. 21 in Orlando, Fla., on a concealed weapon charge following a January incident in which police say he pulled a pistol on a group of revelers.

Henry pleaded guilty in March to marijuana charges from a December arrest in Kentucky, avoiding jail time after completing a drug rehabilitation program.

"That bothers me when someone doesn't quite understand social laws," said Lewis. "That bothers me, no question."

Henry arrested for a fourth time LOL

http://www.wcpo.com/news/2006/local/06/14/henry.html

Chris Henry turned himself in at the Kenton County Justice Center around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday after the District Court Clerk issued an arrest warrant for the Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver in the morning.

Henry, 23, reported with his attorney and posted a bond of $2,500. He had no comment as he made his way inside and has since been released.

The warrant is related to incidents alleged to have transpired at the Courtyard Marriott in Covington in April and the clerks office said he is charged with three counts of unlawful transaction with a minor.

Court officials said the charges stem from supplying three underage girls, whose ages ranged from 18 to 15 years old, with alcohol. They also indicated that there may be more charges to come.

Henry could get up to a year in jail and a $500 fine on each charge if convicted. The prosecutors office said he will be arraigned Thursday.

The initial investigation stemmed from a claim from one of the girls that Henry raped her in the hotel room. Monica Beamon, 18, later recanted the allegation and admitted that the sex was consentual.

Beamon has been charged with filing a false police report and had also recently been arrested on prostitution charges.

Monica's mother, Kimberly Beamon, said that her daughter couldn't remember anything from that night because she was too drunk. Kimberly has yet turn herself in to face the false report charges.

This is the latest incident in a series for the troubled wide receiver. In the past few months, Henry has been charged with drug possession, operating a vehicle under the influence and unlawful possession of a firearm.

That recent history may weigh heavily on the outcome of the investigation. "Criminal justice is to impose accountability, to get people to either quit offending the law or rehabilitate them. Obviously, his recidivism is of concern to the Commonwealth," Assistant Kenton County Attorney Kenneth Easterling said.
