Rudi A Slimmer Sleeker model
http://www.bengals.com/news/news.asp?story_id=5316
excerpt:
The sweat bubbling on his shaved head (another new feature) is from going the extra yard Wednesday when he added a 30-minute stint on the treadmill on top of his hour routine in the weight room. It’s been an offseason of extra sessions on Friday and overtimes on Wednesday in a bid to be quicker and more dangerous on Sunday in reconfiguring his 218 pounds with a sleeker, slimmer model.
“I’m back to what I was in ’03 when I broke a lot of long ones,” Johnson says. “I’m back. I can tell I’m different. I feel it. I can see it. Just looking to be quicker and keep my strength up. Having more endurance.”
No question, he says. Healthy, he thinks he could have had 1,600 yards. In ’06, he thinks he can get as many as 1,700.
And last year, according to STATS, Inc., Johnson had the NFL’s fourth most runs of 10 yards or more with 39, trailing only the NFL’s top rushing trio of Shaun Alexander (64), Larry Johnson (47), and Tiki Barber (43).
I would love to have rudi on my fantasy team

He's going to be nasty as long as they can keep their O-line intact, and even improve it. He's got a good fullback in front of him as well. However, the run stopping teams will not be any more fearful of him than they were before.

agreed he should only get better and if they can keep that O-Line together he will be a stud.

Did you read the part about Corey Dillon? I always said that guy was acting just to get to a superbowl bound team while he was still an effective running back. A lot of what he did seemed too staged.

I have 2nd overall pick. I'd love to snag RJ, but Chad is already my keeper WR, and I was hoping to come back 2 rounds later and steal Palmer. It would be fantasy suicide for me to take Rudi, and have too many players from the same team. My only choice would be to see how Javon Walker does the preseason, and maybe keep Walker and drop Chad so I can take Rudi. Right my my plan is to keep Chad though. The guy with Rudi, has Edge, so I'm pretty sure he's keeping Edge.

I say take them both, they are a prolific offense and I know people have done well with teams that score often. 2000 rams, broncos before that. even when they lose they are going to score.

at least rudi and CJ, palmer I would wait on because you could surely land warner late or even rivers, who I think is going to be great, IMO, after peyton, dmac, and maybe one other, usually the next tier of fantasy QB's 4-20 are not that far apart. I usually go after my QB around rounds 7-10 and I find that thay position doesn't make or break my team.
QB's that I have gotten in the past with this strategy
Palmer last year
Bulger
Trent Green - big KC year
Gannon
There is always good QB's later in the draft, IMO
