Despite all of the optimistic rhetoric, and the fact Carson Palmer has suffered no significant setbacks in his rehabilitation from a severe right knee injury, there are no guarantees yet that he will be in the lineup when the Cincinnati Bengals open the regular season at Kansas City on Sept. 10
I dont think he'll be able to come back as quick as people think, i think if he doesnt miss the first 4 games or so he'd be putting himself at to much risk of reinjuring himself.
Missing a couple of regular seasons in the loaded AFC will pretty much kill the Bengals chances of making the playoffs..
and its not easy, say he misses the first 4 games of the year..
at Kansas City
Cleveland
at Pittsburgh
New England..
Bengals get a bye, so lets say Palmer is back by week 6...he gets Tampa Bay, Carolina, and Atlanta in three straight weeks.
Thank god the Bengals have a great OL-lets hope it stays that way this season.
He moved good that last couple days, but moving isnt his problem its taking a hit and being able to look downfield and follow through with a pass when you know a defender is gonna hit you in the process or afterward, which i promise you he cant do yet.
I say he misses 4 games despite all the "positive" reports coming out of cincy.
