CINCINNATI – In a conference call Thursday with reporters in Cincinnati, Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was asked about two much-publicized comments out of Bengals headquarters.
The first came from Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer, who told Sports Illustrated a few months back that he “hates the Steelers.” “I hope he doesn’t hate me,” Roethlisberger said, jokingly.

Does Roethlisberger hate the Bengals?

Why would Ben hate the Steelers. Was his knee destroyed in the playoff game against them. Where his Super Bowl dreams ruined. Last time I checked he had a big fat ring. He has no reason to hate anyone and if he does then he is just selfish.

First of all, ben wouldnt hate the steelers...second he absolutly should hate them, its a rivalry. He should also hate the browns and the ravens, i would, thats just more fuel for the fire...find something you hate....no selfishness there, why would you try to like someone who hates you and is trying to stop you from succeeding?

Erik did the seahawks like the rams all those years they owned the division? Do the like them now?

Hahaha. Ooops. Ben shouldn't hate the Bengals. My bad. The Seahawks not liking the Rams when the Rams owned the division is totally different. Every year Ben has been playing the Steelers have rocked and he has won a Super Bowl. If you win a Super Bowl you shouldn't hate anyone. I'm not saying he has to like them but he has been blessed to be on the Steelers. He should be happy, not selfish.

The Seahawks might hate the Rams but if they had won the Super Bowl I would hope the Lofa Tatupu didn't hate them. Ben won the Super Bowl and has beaten Cincy. Why should he hate them. They haven't taken anything away from him.

Thats not the point, they would want to take it all away from him...its called competing....what are we arguing about....he didnt say he hated them, but i hope he has some dislike for them, otherwise whats the point?

Dislike I understand. IMO you can only hate a team when they did something really bad or have just been winning for years and years. And honetly, I don't know what we are arguing about. Plus ya, he said he doesn't even hate the Bengals.

I say he should hate them. After their Piece Of Shiat coach talking **** about him personally, their QB talking **** about the whole team, their prima donna wr's mouth always running...there's plenty there to contribute to some hostility on Ben's part. Next time they play he should take a page out of the Friday Night Lights movie (I think that's the one) and smack that POS coach in the nose with the football when he's "throwing it away" lol
