Thurman denied

Even before the Bengals held their first team meeting of the season, the NFL stunned them with Thursday's decision to lengthen Odell Thurman's suspension for another year, according to a Bengals press release. He may reapply for reinstatement after the 2007 season.

Thurman had been expecting to be reinstated in time for the start of training camp, which opens Thursday with the Bengals reporting in preparation for Friday's first practice. For the past month, Safarrah Lawson, one of Thurman's representatives, has been saying that Thurman met all the requirements of the league's substance abuse policy.

The price you pay for a team and league of assclowns treading on thin ice I suppose. Still, curious why 2 DUI's and a missed test equal 2 years of banishment while Pacman's sentence is under consideration of being shortened as he willfully obstructs justice among a great many other things. Jared Allen's 3 DUI's got 2 games- not 2 years+.

If someone were to Leonard Little Goodell is it too late to reverse the decision?

He'll be back next year but he shouldn't get a year.

Maybe.. Its not like guys can just take a couple years of football off and be worth a damn when they come back.
