What happened to Chris Perry? Did Pacman Jones kill him too?

chris perry's development was also retarded by a plague of injuries.

he's a decent receiver out of the backfield and he can do spot duty just fine. I don't think anyone ever had any intention of him starting and Cincy drafted him too to begin with...

I dunno, if I'm drafting a RB in the first round I expect him to be a full time back at some point.

Perry was never drafted to be a starter, i wont argue with anyone that thinks a 1st round pick on a non starter is a waste because i agree, he was brought in to ease the load off of Rudi and provide a lethal duo. Perry would have been the Reciever type and a guy who can make people miss. In the very short time he was healthy i think he broke some kind of recieving record for a HB in Cincy which shows what we wanted to use him as. Basicaly he was our TE hehe.

A lot of Cincy fans hated the pick but when he started to show what we drafted him for people started to come around to the idea. But he has been plauged with injuries and im not sure if our bloody medical staff know what they are doing because they seem to rush him back and he gets hurt again. This time though he has been put on PUP and hopefuly he can get through his problems once and for all.

He always struck me as an eginma(sp?). A 220lb back that runs like a 190lb 3rd down back? Never liked him at Michigan, actually I don't like any RB from Michigan.

Perry was drafted to eventually be the starter, and to currently be the change of pace back.

If not for injuries, I think he would have been a hell of a back. The one season he did stay healthy, he looked fantastic, arguably the best back in the class at that point.

Obviously, it looks like his career is about over now though.

Perry was drafted to become the starter since Rudi was less of a known commodity at that point and was coming into a contract year on top of that. Since then off the top of my head he's had a hernia (possibly 2 surgeries- don't think it was confirmed), a broken leg, and whatever it was that knocked him out of '05 early (groin or ankle or somethin.. who cares). Other than that it was a very solid pick considering who we got in trading back.

Some guy named Reggie Bush essentially fills the role our first round non-starter was to occupy.

oh, ok. He was drafted with the intention of him being the starter..so the pick was a solid decision regardless.
