The last time Rudi Johnson didn't play in a Bengals game because he was injured it was hardly noticed. Johnson sat out the first three games of the 2003 season with a strained quadriceps muscle but at that time he was a backup to Corey Dillon who had only 17 career rushing attempts for 67 yards.
Johnson is in danger of missing Monday night's game against New England with a hamstring injury he suffered in the third quarter of last Sunday's 24-21 loss at Seattle. Since missing a game against Pittsburgh on Sept. 21, 2003, Johnson has lugged the football 1,329 times for 5,254 yards and 45 touchdowns.
