During last week's Jets conference call, center Nick Mangold said the most daunting part about playing the Bengals was their defense.
"It's going go be a great challenge for us because of what they do, and the way they fly around," Mangold said.
It was an interesting poison to pick, to say the least. The Bengals' 30th-ranked defense hadn't done much to distinguish itself in four straight losses.
Turns out Mangold - and the rest of the Jets - had reason to be worried.
It took the Bengals' defense three quarters to get rolling, but when it did, it rocked Paul Brown Stadium in a Sunday evening win.
In the span of nine fourth-quarter minutes, the Bengals recovered a fumble, twice sacked Jets quarterback Chad Pennington, forced a punt, and returned an interception for a touchdown.
