Friedman rejoins Browns with 1-year deal

The patchwork approach to shoring up the Browns' offensive line continued on Tuesday when the club re-signed Lennie Friedman to a one-year contract.
Friedman provides depth at all three interior positions. He played both guard spots and center for one series last year after joining the team only 17 days before the season-opener. Friedman made one start at right guard and one at left guard.
Friedman is the fourth interior lineman the Browns have signed in the last month. The others were center Hank Fraley, another holdover from 2006 who re-upped for four years, and veteran free agents Eric Steinbach (seven years) and Seth McKinney (one year).
