Browns sign safety, set preseason games
The Cleveland Browns added a safety and announced their preseason schedule on Monday.
Free agent safety Mike Adams, who started eight games last season for San Francisco, joined the Browns. The former standout at the University of Delaware signed with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2004.
In 2006, he appeared in 16 games and made 65 tackles. In 2005, he had 77 tackles and four interceptions in 14 games.
In announcing the preseason schedule, the Browns said they will play consecutive games at home against Kansas City and Detroit. The Browns then will travel to Denver and Chicago.
