I say whether Wimbley succeeds or not is about 50% on him and 50% on the coaching staff. Wimbley's part will be to play with his heart and be more consistent in his production. He also needs to decide which position to excel at because, unfortunately, he's too small to play defensive line effectively in the NFL at only about 245lbs., and he's not fast enought to play outside linebacker with only about a 4.7 40-dash time. I know that numbers don't tell the whole story, but going by numbers is what we have. If he could get up to 265-275lbs. without losing any speed, he could be a very fine end. If he could work on speed training and lower his 40-time to about 4.5 or 4.55 and develop some coverage skills, he could turn himself into an outstanding NFL linebacker. It's on the coaching staff to find the best fit for him. My opinion is that it's easier to gain 20 or 30 pounds without losing speed than it is to gain speed. Kamerion should try to stick it out at DE.
