The guy is pissing me off.
1. "I'd love to be there competing for the starting job," said Quinn, who has missed the first four days of camp. "But it's a long contract, and I have to make sure it's fair in the event I become the starter."
This makes no damn sense. You cannot become the starter if you don't know **** about the playbook if you want a fair contract, I will give you a penny.
2.Quinn said he trusts his agent, Tom Condon, who was named the most powerful agent in football by The Sporting News in 2006. Condon represents some of the biggest-name quarterbacks in the league, including Peyton and Eli Manning, Drew Brees, Chad Pennington and Matt Leinart. He also represents former Browns No. 1 pick Tim Couch, who just signed with Jacksonville.
Most of those guys were, you know, PICKED IN THE FIRST 10 PICKS! You will not get their type of money!
3. Quinn said he's talked with Leinart about how to handle the holdout. Last season, Leinart held out for two weeks in a contract dispute with the Arizona Cardinals and was sharply criticized by coach Denny Green.
And how did Leinart's season go last year? Exactly.
4. "Matt said to be patient, that it's part of the business," said Quinn.
I thought he was about to crap himself when Cleveland drafted him. Make up your mind.
