The Browns acquired eighth-year pro Lennie Friedman from Chicago in exchange for a conditional seventh-round pick in 2007. The Browns only surrender the pick if Friedman makes the team.
But he might do a lot more than that. A source close to Friedman said he was told that the lineman was brought in to challenge for the starting job and that Friedman could win it by the start of the season.
