When Lee Suggs is on the field, he doesn't think about it. That's when the Browns running back can focus on churning his legs, breaking tackles and pounding the ball for more yards. It is his escape.
But when he comes off the field, when he relaxes, that's when Suggs realizes he isn't too sure what will happen with his job, or whether he'll have one with the Browns in a week.
"It's hard not knowing what's going on, where I'm going to be next week," Suggs said Tuesday. "It's part of the business, but it's just hard."
When final preseason cuts are made Saturday to bring the roster from 75 to 53 players, Suggs knows he could be the running back left behind. Reuben Droughns has the starting position locked up. Jerome Harrison has shown why he rushed for 1,900 yards his senior year at Washington State and that he can contribute in his rookie season.
