The race is heating up
Last year the Browns came in last in points scored and halfway in the pack on points allowed. Now through 6 games they are right in the mix of it again with point totals as follows 32) Oakland 72 , 31) Denver 79 , 30) Tennesee and Tampa with 85 and 28) Cleveland with 88. The Defense however has moved up to 16 in points allowed. The browns offense is what it is Offensive. They are allowing nearly 4 sacks a game 1 int and 1 fumble lost per game. They have only one rushing TD from a running back and have rushed for 410 yards as a team. Thats 68 yds a game!!! and passing 1188 is 198 per game. The passing numbers are doable if you can run but 3.0 per carry sucks right out loud. Now as far as those passing numbers go thats 1188 on 201 attemps which breaks down to 5.9 per att. That also sucks. This is an offense that tries to supplement an anemic run game with short passes. In all its the same POS offense as last year. 1 for 14 on 4th down attempts sucks too. Especially when you pass 80% of the tries that are 2yds or less. What is Droughns???? Thought he was a down hill runner. Can he not get a 4th down carry for 1yd? Where is Harrison who played so well in pre-season???? Hes an excellent speed threat on screens out of the backfield. There needs to be a change at co-ordinator soon. Frye probably doesnt make it a full season due to injury and the receiving corps is below average as a whole. Heres the question......do they finish last again in points scored? Its a tight 5 team race right now with the Browns just 16 points behind, one shutout puts them in the lead....or last depending on your view of it.
