The Columbus Dispatch reports that Derek Anderson and the Browns are two years apart in contract negotiations.
The Browns offered Anderson a three-year deal last week, but sources tell the paper he is looking for a five-year deal. The Browns' offer was reportedly for between $15 and $20 million, significantly less than the Tony Romo/Matt Schaub money he was looking for. Unfortunately for Derek, Brady Quinn is the future in Cleveland and the Browns hold tremendous leverage over him in the form of a tender offer and possible subsequent franchise tag.
