Bama best two wins - Ga (SEC Championship), at LSU would be better than any unbeaten team and the rest of their schedule would be comparable or better than the other unbeatens.

On paper, you're probably right. In reality, probably not. The only good team LSU has played is Florida, and they lost. LSU's best win so far is probably Texas A&M and you have to wonder how good the Aggies really are considering they barely beat LaTech and Mississippi (a team that got blown out at home by Texas). Georgia's best win other than Florida came against a South Carolina team that barely beat bottom-feeder Tennessee.

I'm sure a lot of you will take issue with this, but the reality is- The SEC just isn't all that great this season. Other than Alabama, you've got maybe 3 teams that are pretty decent (Florida, LSU, Georgia), 3 that are fairly mediocre (Mississippi State, South Carolina & Texas A&M), and 5 teams that probably couldn't compete in Conference USA.

Top to bottom, I'd put the SEC behind both the PAC & the Big 12 this year

lol Big 12 best non conference win is Miami- think about that for a minute. They have the worst out of conference schedule of any major conference. LSU destroyed Washington 41-3 who beat previously unbeaten Stanford and Oregon St. The big 12 circle jerk is ridiculous. Notre Dame exposed them by showing that a good defense will shut them down.

Is Georgia really that good? They have played only 2 teams with a heartbeat. They got destroyed by one and outlasted the other. We all know that uSC is not a great team and while Florida has a great defense, their offense is inept. Heck, UGA barely beat Kentucky.

I would say LSU would be your best win of the season. They have played 3 decent teams so far and are 2-1. But at the same time, they were lucky to beat Auburn but did take care of everyone else pretty handedly

LSU has a close loss and UGA has a blownout loss. All edges go to LSU

The good thing about the SEC is that they have built in rivalry games late in the season against two top 10 in ACC. When Iowa and Ole Miss are your best non-conference wins, that's really sad. Look at the your ranked teams, Texas #23 in BCS barely beat 1-7 pathetic Kansas scoring on their last drive. OK State #24 got beat down by 21 pts against Arizona.

#18 Texas Tech non-conference opponents were FCS team Northwest State, WAC teams Texas State, and New Mexico State.
#21 West Virgina has been exposed with that high school defense, blown out in two straight games by a least 35 pts.
#12 Ok we saw Choklahoma once again lose a big game, the only ranked team they have beaten is Texas.
#2 K State needed a last minute defensive stop to beat unranked Iowa St by only six.

So again what has the Big 12 done to be considered the best or even second best conference? At least the Pac 12 has some decent wins out of conference against Wisc and Nebraska. And the SEC is 2-0 against the Pac 12 so far this year. The entire big 12 has not beaten even one ranked team out of conference this year.

REALLY???? An SEC fan talking about NON-CONFERENCE GAMES? This is classic....

Think about this: Prior to the Penn State game last season, Alabama's last true road game against ANY OOC OPPONENT was in 2003

Other than the three 'in-state rivalry games' (UF/FSU & UGA/G-Tech, uSC/Clemson), the SEC pretty much avoids playing true road games against OOC teams from other BCS conferences?

I do respect the fact that a few of the SEC team have agreed to play some of the other BCS schools. Georgia played at Okie State a few years ago, Alabama traveled to Penn State last season, etc. I think this is a trend which needs to continue and with the coming 4 team "playoff" there's no reason it shouldn't. It's only when we have these types of inter conference games that we can truly ascertain the relative strength of the various leagues.

Yes the sec is 2-0... But aren't they supposed to be?
Isn't LSU supposed to beat Washington? (which touting Washington beating Oregon st isn't that big of a deal. Washington is 4-4 and go creamed equally by Oregon and Arizona)
This is just another example of SEC fans trying to take credit with things they supposed to do.

Sure arizona st lost against Missouri (both have close win/loss records).
But if we give the home team a 3point advantage... Wow, sure looks like more EXPECTED results.

So before trying to make statements sound like they actually have meaning, spare me the BS. The truth is, LSU, regarded as a top team beat up the (currently) #8 pac12 team.

Congrats for taking credit for that... I'm sure with the piece of out-of-conference crap the SEC rolls through on a yearly visit, the #8 pac12 team might just be 1 of their top OOC victories
