The Very Sudden Transformation of James Franklin
I'm not looking at stats but I'm pretty sure that Franklin had tossed 7 or 8 INTs since his last TD. We got more of the same in the first half against Tennessee. He was really playing just awful.
I think this is how it happened. Then with 4:00 left in the 4th today he drove and got a TD to DGB to tie it. Then in OT he threw TD passes to Marcus Lucas, Jimmie Hunt, a second to DGB, and one to Bud Sasser (who also returned a kick today.)
It was a total transformation on a level I've never seen. Maybe that Tenn defense is a little soft, but still Franklin is no longer in a slump.
Mizzou's season has gone just like last year. Both years were 3-4, then 4-4, then 4-5, then 5-5. Last year they finished 8-5. I would feel real good about it if they can repeat last year.
