Teo's tackles, sacks, and tackles for loss are average at best. None are in the top ten in the country. His picks, leadership on an undefeated team are what will win it for him. However it unfolds, we are either looking at a Freshman or a Linebacker winning the award, which either one would be a first. I think Manziel deserves it.

Teo has been the best player in the nation, he deserves it. If Manziel wins its only cause he plays QB not because he been better than Teo

If Teo's not on ND, they still win games. Take Manziel off of TAMU, you're probably looking at another Auburn or Kentucky.

I don't know about that. Behind Manziel is Showers who I think would be a nice fit if Manziel did not go to A&M. Plus the fact that they have a good receiver bunch, and a group of outstanding runningbacks.
They probably wouldn't have beaten Bama, but they wouldn't be a Kentucky or Auburn.

Winning games and going undefeated and to a BCS championship are two different things. Teo deserves it as much as anyone in the country, including Manziel. The Bama game is really the only game I could see A&M losing without Manziel, but the defense was as responsible for that win as he was. I think they've both done enough to win it, but Manziel probably gets my vote.

They lose to La Tech and Ole Miss if Manziel doesn't play.

Nope. It's a completely different game without him there, so there's no way of knowing. Maybe they crush both without Manziel.

I agree with Vest....A&M would have a completely different game plan for their games and the only game I see them losing that they won is the Bama game. And as close and low scoring as the UF and LSU games, they possibly could have won either of them. I'm not taking anything away from Manziel, but A&M did exactly what they were supposed to do minus the extra win at Bama

The Heisman identifies leadership and consistent outstanding play throughout the season. Being that ND is undefeated and Manti has shown all the desirables with all 12 games, there is your Heisman!...
Had Manziel shown that consistant play in their two losses, he might have a legitimate challenge!...
Heisman=Consistant impact play(er) for the 12-13 game season...
