Exactly since Geno Smith can't win it, let's just do away with the Heisman altogether. I didn't hear West Va fans say that when Geno was the clear front runner, and had the award basically won in September.

I think it needs to merit based, not just give an undeserved award to a different position for a change of pace. Naturally Boise fans want to give out awards and NCG berths to those who did nothing to earn it.

lol That seems to happen a lot around here. Especially my threads blasting either Boise or the Big 10.

Could any of these dark horse candidates win the Heisman with a great performance during the last two weeks like Robert Griffin did last year?

Manziel is the front runner in my mind. If he somehow plays awful he could slip. Braxton Miller should be in the mix, especially if he has a monster game against the team up north. Kenjon Barner is still a good option as well. Still my opinion that it's Johnny Football's to lose.
