Exactly right, and exactly what is wrong with the current system. Bias gives them that strength of schedule more than anything. I've watched Florida play all year, and they shouldn't even be a top ten team. Their best, and I'd argue only relevant win was over Texas A&M in their first game of the season. Florida benefits from SC and LSU being extremely over ranked, along with most of the SEC. You don't beat a mid level Sun Belt team on a last second blocked punt and get to play for a NC, or at least outside of the SEC you don't.
This is why I'm so against a non conference champion playing for a NC. Even Oregon really shouldn't be involved if Stanford wins Saturday, but I think they deserve to go more than Florida. I'll be rooting for FSU and UCLA this weekend. Georgia/Alabama against Oregon sounds a lot more fun than watching Florida try to remember how to play offense.
