Lets say Bama beats UGA and ND both 35-3. If everyone is talking and writing about the impending blowouts, tv viewership is down and interest is in a lull. It's a circle jerk, they hype the game, and we (as fans) pretend its going to be an interesting game.
The second and third ranked teams are playing the SEC CG to see who plays for a NC. I think that builds enough hype on its own. Even "experts" from other networks like Georgia. The way Georgia is playing right now, they stand a very good chance at beating Bama.
Bama wasn't supposed to lose this year. Kansas State and Oregon weren't either. Notre Dame was supposed to lose a few games. I like Notre Dame's chances, more against Alabama than Georgia as well.
