I agree with that. Oregon is painfully close to making the NCG. ND had a couple miracle finishes to stay unbeaten. A&M would be in the SECCG if they pulled out the LSU game. We could very easily have any of the following NCG matchups with one or two different bounces of the football.
Notre Dame vs Oregon
Alabama vs Oregon
Florida vs A&M part II
Florida vs Alabama
Georgia vs Florida part II
Stanford vs Alabama
There are a dozen more possible matchups between those teams. The point being ND, Stan, Org, Bama, UGA, LSU, Fla, A&M, Ohio St (if they took bowl ban in last years 6-6 season) were all very close to the NCG. That is what makes this sport great. Regular season games are critical. Not all are critical, but the majority are.
