Sumlin let Manziel attempt an extra point in a blow out game despite having 4 place kickers on his team. I think Sumlin has already proven he would be willing to do just about anything if he thought it would help Manziel's Heisman chances.
My thoughts on the interview are:
1. He ditched the shaved head look for a more clean cut haircut probably to impress voters.
2. Sounds like an above average college student giving an interview. Not a lot of filler language such as saying like, umm, and, etc. He was confident in most parts. He did fine with the softball questions but seemed to struggle when they asked him about his arrests. That is a little strange because he would have known that was coming. I noticed there was a disconnect between his words and body language. Basically, I don't think he really believes what he was saying and instead is just saying what he thinks needs to be said.
3. The rest seemed liked typical interview stuff. He seemed to relax later on in the interview and things went better for him as he got away from the canned responses and cliches.
