Default Beggers can't be choosers

Many people will be upset that one loss Northern Illinois will make a BCS game and Oklahoma will not. (second straight year that the Big XII doesnt put two in). When the BCS first started, nonBCS teams had to be in the top 6. Utah was the only team to break through and get an invite. Everyone was crying and complaining for the bar to be lowered. Fine, the BCS bended to the outside requests. They lowered the bar to 16. This is what people wanted, so you will get your Boise or TCU teams in from time to time, but you will also get an occasional Hawaii or Northern Illinois.

It's really flawed IMO. Northern Illinois gets a possible BCS bid but LSU, A&M, and other teams do not?

Cannot wait for the playoff system.

I am one of the few BCS supporters, but this new four teamer will be fantastic and a big upgrade (while more importantly preserving the regular season). There will be 6 BCS bowls (12 slots) and no cap on conference teams. The highest nonBCS (which will include the Big East) will still get their spot. If we had the four teamer now, this is how I think the BCS bowls would look this year:

Sugar : Alabama vs Florida
Fiesta : Kansas State vs LSU
Rose : Wisconsin vs Stanford
Cotton : Texas A&M vs Florida State
Chick-fil-A : Georgia vs Northern Illinois
Orange : Notre Dame vs Oregon

I'm not even sure Northern Illinois will be ranked in the top 16. I think they'll actually end up 17th, but if they do make it in, oh well. I don't think Florida, Kansas State, Wisconsin, FSU or Louisville deserve a BCS bowl more than Georgia either, but no one is crying about that.

Biggest reason the BCS needs to go away completely. It's about money more than the sport, and that's BS.

Yeah. Just like how we lost in the B1G Champ last year and Michigan STILL got in over us. Such BS but we got the better opponent and the better victory. Serves the BCS right.
