I know you can't go by stats alone, but you can see by looking at these stats why I have such a huge problem with the Heisman. It is nothing more than a popularity contest and is a joke.

Three of those QBs are on that list, not two. The only player you listed who might have a complaint would be Landry Jones. Don't think I didn't notice you're just complaining about WVU not getting their guys in with inflated stats. Generally, the Heisman winners come from good football teams. It's not about stats either, but I'm sure you knew that.

The only reason he wouldn't would be because he was a freshman. But even by being a freshman, I think he may have a shot at even 2 Heisman awards and he improves and continues his success.

I look forward to him bring the Aggies a few more good years in the future and more importantly some recruits for once!

Lee is the most talented athlete in the country. I expect him to be the next Randy Moss. I would give it to him, but I could see why some wouldn't give it to a WR. WR is not as crucial of a position as QB/RB or DEF.

It wasn't really that hard to go to ESPN and look up the stats by ratings was it? Like I told Aggie, I think the Heisman is a joke, I've felt that way for years and can back it up by previous posts. But can you tell me why is Miller on the list? Yes he went undefeated but what exactly did he do throughout the season? His stats are average at best. And you can say that I am complaining that Geno isn't on the list but can you tell me exactly why he wasn't? He had 2 bad games, but so did Manziel, Lee, and Klein. And you can't say Geno's stats are inflated when both Jones and Klein have pretty much the same schedule. The Heisman is supposed to be about the best player, nowhere does it say he has to be the best player on one of the best teams. There is no reason why a 4 or 5 win team can't have the Heisman on their team if he's deserving.

As for Lee, Austin, and Bailey...what makes Lee a better WR than the other two? What did Lee do that they other 2 didn't? Lee had more yards than both but fewer TDs than both. Austin had more all-purpose yards than both.

Hope nobody gets me wrong with this, all the guys on the list are deserving, but if you look at how each player performed over the season, I'm not sure how you can say some of those listed are better than some that are not.

He went up against the best and did great...but at the same time did horrible in two other games against top notch programs (UF and LSU). Against several other teams, his passing was not very good but he made up for it with his legs.

I cannot stand ND, but Manti Te'o deserves the award more so than anyone else. He is the anchor of the defense and the team. Opposing teams game plan around Te'o so it's not surprising that his numbers aren't as high as others but there is not doubt he is the man on ND's defense
