Buckeyes

First time in a while that I can remember when the only two undefeated teams were outside the SEC. Too bad they have a bowl ban this year. But lets say they didn't, would a 12-0 Buckeyes team be in the top 2 of the BCS right now?

Yes. I believe the projected BCS ranking was #3, but that's based on where the AP has them sitting. I think they'd end up ranked 2nd in the polls if they were eligible for the same reason Notre Dame is #1.

I'm pretty disappointed at all of the what ifs, but it was a great season after everything and we have something to build on for next season's run.

My hatred for the NCAA continues.

I expect Ohio State to come off strong next year. People better look out, the Buckeyes are back!

I hate OSU (as a UM fan no need to ask why), but I also think they would be ranked #2.....but at the same time, I don't think they would deserve to be. You can say what you want but any team that goes undefeated deserves to be ranked up near the top but there is no way you can say their SOS didn't help them. I don't see anyone (minus OSU) in the B10 stepping up anytime soon. Nebraska is a question mark. Hoke is a joke (only coach I can think of that doesn't use a headset). MSU has peaked. Iowa and PSU are several years away

Ohio State would be #2, no doubt about it. With that being said, you give them Ole Miss's schedule and they go 8-4 at best.

Give Urban Meyer a month to prepare with the talent he has and he could beat anyone. 8-4 with the Ole Miss schedule? Maybe, but who knows. They were supposed to lose all year, and didn't. They could beat anyone in the SEC and since you can have a loss, sometimes two there and still get in, who cares? I easily see Ohio State going 11-1 or 10-2 with that schedule. I remember when A&M was supposed to be the next Kentucky. The SEC isn't the meat grinder people make it out to be, and A&M proved that in their first year.

Ohio State would definitely be able to compete in the SEC, no matter what anyone says about the SEC being tougher (which in my opinion it is) however that doesn't mean teams like Oregon or Ohio State wouldn't be able to win games.

If they won their conference title game of course they would be in. Its extremely easy for Ohio St to go undefeated every year in the water downed little ten, that's why I'm glad a playoff is coming so the SEC can send them home every year.

Its so funny people who talk about A&M success in the SEC tend to forgot that Missouri came along with them. So what did Missouri prove? A&M has a heisman worthy qb and a great head coach that they didn't have last year. Most teams would not have that going into a new conference.

Yep, I agree. There is no shortage of teams that would do well in the SEC. Obviously the SEC is the strongest conference, but Ohio State has been one of the top football teams in the country for the last decade and really of all time. Anyone who denies that is foolish.

Urban Meyer will win multiple National Championships at Ohio State. The talent has been there, but The Vest was never really able to put it all together. That blame falls to his choice of offensive coordinator in my opinion. Urban won't have that problem. If we could just get them to fork out the kind of money the SEC does for assistants, we'd be set.
