Have you watched him play? He's fine on a blitz, ND just doesn't send him that often. Their front is very talented, and as you pointed out, he is fantastic in pass coverage. Why would you take your best cover LB and constantly blitz him when it's not necessary? I realize everyone is on the Alabama train, but there are other capable, worthy players outside of the SEC.

He is fantastic in various coverages but he does have weaknesses. Its a whole different game when you get to the NFL. For all we know he is the next Vernon Gholston.

Can't argue with that, but everybody has weaknesses. He very well could be. For all we know, he is the next Brian Urlacher.

I stated that Ryan Shazier has the most impressive overall stats for a LB this season. You do know that he plays for your Ohio St Buckeyes or maybe you don't? Stop being a hater.

Te'o reminds me of those BC LBs from the past few years, Herzlich & Kuechly. He's fantastic in zone pass coverage..........I don't think anyone'll be asking him to cover a back or a TE. He'll be fine with a team that plays a zone heavy scheme. Jarvis Jones is more versatile, he'll be fine either way.

He also has the advantage of playing in the B10 where most teams run a Pro style offense. That is not taking away anything from what he has done all season. He is an increadible back. But it is easier to get more tackles when you play teams that run straight at you and pass less often

Forgetting something? Unless it's quoted, I don't see anything you post.

Thread and post I replied to were about Te'o and Bama. Not really difficult to keep up.

A forced fumble is only as impressive as a interception if a player recovers. Otherwise it is a dignified sack. Also the numbers as usual vary upon the strength of the overall player and opposing team. NCAA record holders for these stats and many others are not considered the best because they were on weaker teams. Jones was a great linebacker this year but the forced fumbles number is not equal to Teo's interceptions number. Also Teo had more tackles and was a more overall pressence on ND's team. Georgia did not have as much of an impressive team as Notre Dame and Teo competed with what is most likely the best front 7 defense in the last several years. He also did this through a rough period of time where others may have given up.

1) It's just as impressive.....they're both turnovers and change momentum.

2) Yeah Te'o had more tackles, but he didn't take over/dominate games like Jones did (see Mizzou & Florida). Jones also accounted for 10 turnovers, and he missed 2 games.

1. I'm sure he was saying if the offense recovers, meaning no turnover occurred.

2. There's more than just stats in this game.
