I'm willing to bet $25 to anyone on here that next year Johnny Football will drop drastically next season....and another $10 to say he won't be a finalists

I just can't see that happening. I'm hoping he will improve more as a passer, I think everyone has figured out his scrambling abilities but I still look forward to seeing him bust out big runs every now and then.

Teams will be a lot more prepared for him, plus his team loses a lot of talent. Alabama and LSU will likely be just as good next year (if not better) than they are this year. Bama loses a lot on the O-line, but thats a different conversation. I think A&M will regress a bit, perhaps 8-4. Just think, if they pull out the LSU game, then A&M would have played UGA in the SEC CG for the right to go to the NCG.

You're kidding right.

The difference between this year, with a little help from Johnny, it that Sumlin is actually a good coach!
Sure we may be losing some people, but with the turnout this year, you better expect some great recruits stolen from UT and maybe even some from OU. Have you seen A&M's recruiting class this year?

I have to admit I don't think we will be AS good next year but I don't see us losing 4 games. With Johnny back and better than ever, we also have a young stud running back, as well as a group of receivers including Mike Evans (who by the way was a freshman this year and leads A&M receiving yards). I also look forward to the defense getting better and stronger.

If this all turns out right, I see A&M being able to compete once again and hopefully building a program for once. I guess we will all see against Bama.

If you look here:

Bama and LSU are the only "eh" games to me. Either we can win or we can lose, it could go both ways. That would be 2 losses again IF we lost to both of them.

The Aggies will be tested in the SEC before Bama!...

It won't take long to see on the what ifs!...

I thought they played UGA and Fla. Apparently not. I retract my 8-4 statement and am now saying 9-3. @ Ark, @ Ole Miss, Miss St, @ Missouri I think A&M goes 3-1 in those. Four OOC games are all at home and are all a cake walk, no chance of an upset there. Johnny Football is a great player, no question, but they do lose quite a few guys for next year. I think their 2012 team is stronger than their 2013, but with that solid recruiting class coming in, 2014 could be their best team ever. I like A&M, I wouldnt mind seeing them do well. I would prefer Bama or LSU to win the NCG but I would be fine with A&M in contention. Things shift a bit with the 2014 playoffs coming. Winning the SEC isnt a do or die predecessor to being in the NCG. Go 11-1 in the SEC and you will likely be in the field of four.

This is a bit of a tangent, but I am anxious to see what they do with the field of four for the playoffs. Is it 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3 regardless of any other factors. If two teams from the same conference make it, are they more or less likely to match them against each other? There wont be BCS rankings or standings, the committee will discuss the teams and say these are the four (and these are the 12 for BCS games), it will be qualitative where the current process is straight quantitative.

I agree with the fact that they won't be as good next year, we will just have to see how that plays out.

But I do agree on 2014, I am really looking forward to it!

Speaking of Johnny Manziel, when do you think he will leave for the draft?

I'm not sure. He would be eligible to leave after next year. I don't think he would be a top ten pick. I didn't think Griffin would do well in the NFL and he is doing great. But if Tebow can be a first round pick then anything is possible.

I don't see Manziel leaving until after his Junior season at the earliest. Not taking anything away from him, but he is known for his legs more so than his arm. He is in the same category as Pat White, Denard Robinson, Tim Tebow, etc....guys that have a decent arm but can burn you with their legs. Manziel does have a better arm than they other 3 but at this point his arm doesn't scare you that much. If he improves with his arm I could see him leaving after his Junior year, if not he'll be here a full 5yrs. I'm not going to guess whether his arm improves or not. How many times did we hear how DRob was improving or Tebow was improving?
