You talking about me? If it makes you feel any better I didn't even read the article, just the title.

40% chance that Barry Alvarez steps down as AD to coach the football team.
I think Petersen had an interview with Stanford after Harbaugh left. He is making about $2M at Boise I believe. That is actually really good, he is 100% job security and he is adored. Everyone wants to give themselves and their family a high quality of life, I think he has a very good thing going on where he is.

Chris Peterson is always rumored to be leaving for a higher profile school, but always ends up staying at Boise. Every year about this time good coaches are going to be targeted whether they want to or not. Every year somebody reports that (insert bad nfl team) is looking at Nick Saban to go to the NFL, but so far he has stayed at Bama going on 7 years. College football news cycle is slow this time of year and the media needs something to talk about.

I wonder if Saban has a desire to return to NFL? He has things rolling in full force in Tuscaloosa. He is already elite status in the history of this sport but with a couple more NC, he can truly be immortalized.

If he does have a desire, he hasn't shown it at all. He has the real potential to go down as the greatest college coach of all time. So I guess he would have to way that against anything the NFL had to offer him, being just another fish in a large pond. He has full control of the progam in Bama and total support for whatever he wants. On the outside looking in, there is not a better situation for him anyway else.
