Florida athletes well-represented on Alabama and Notre Dame rosters
21 former Florida high school football stars will return home a month from Friday with state pride and a national championship on the line in Sun Life Stadium. Not all are starters for No. 1 Notre Dame or No. 2 Alabama, but a few who are credit their Sunshine State high school background for their success.
Notre Dame has 11 players returning home, while Alabama has 10. Of that group, South Florida is home to three of the Crimson Tide and seven Fighting Irish who'll meet Jan. 7 in Sun Life Stadium.
