my first thought was to put georgia and a&m above notre dame. but its hard to justify bringing down a team that much when it is based on 1 performance and at a bowl game. Oregon and Ohio St at 2 and 3 is obvious.
No I think they got it right. The ND team that showed up for the NC title game was not the same team that we had seen all season. I guess they just weren't prepared for such a big stage, so I'm leaning towards that one performance as a fluke but they're still a good team

It's a shame Ohio State didn't self impose a bowl ban last year... they might have been able to score more than twice against Bama.

Ohio State is listed as #3 at 12-0 in the AP poll and not at all in the USA poll?
They were on probation this season and ban from post season play for cheating. Therefore, they are ineligible to be included in USA/Coaches poll.
