ive applied for a whole bunch of colleges (ucla, usc, colorado, umass, brown, tulsa, and 3 others), anyway, im an international student(australia) and i want to try walking on as a punter, seeing how in australian football thats all we do the whole game

im just curious about what a competitive hang time and distance is, ive been measuring with my sports teacher (he played at some div II school a long time ago) and my average punt hang time is around 4 seconds (a little bit less, but improving slowly) and average distance is around 38 yard(very consistent, never less than 37, usually around 40 but wel say 38 to be safe). he thinks i should be ok to walk on but im not too sure, basically whats the average hang time and distance for a div 1-a punter, oh, and my 40 is 4.9 seconds, and i come from a track and field back ground (100m dash, high jump, triple jump)if that means anything for my chances of getting on a team? i am 6'0" and 190lb, i have only been training and measuring these things for the past week or so, and other than that i havent been doing much exercise at all since last october ( sports schedule is different down here) so i think i can definetly improve my hang time and distance, this is just what im at now, and i want a rough idea for some goals
thanks in advance and sorry if this is in the wrong part of the forum ! much appreciated
