Utah is an average team. Maybe top 20. Utah would get destroyed by any other top 10 team right now 9 out of 10 times.

Texas A&M lost to BAYLOR today. BAYLOR!!!!
That said, the BCS is getting worse and worse every year. They invented the BCS because they didn't like the human polls and having a split national championship, now they complain whenever the BCS doesn't agree with the polls, so they change the formula so that the polls have more control. If they used the same BCS formula this year that they used last year, Utah wouldn't be in the top then. They got rid of schedule strength! The BCS used to be good; now it sucks. The human polls suck even more.

Ugh....Mid-majors. I give the Utes a ton of credit...they have a very good team. But you have to wonder how they'd fare in the BCS Conferences. My guess is not too well, but you never know. As far as the Human Polls go, don't worry...as long as Utah keeps winning, the media will keep kissing their *** so there can be a "BCS Buster".
I think the real teams that have a reason to ***** are Wisconsin and Tennessee. They're ranked below a number of teams that they have no business being below.

yeah they do need a new playoff system
NIU last year 10-2 beat maryland who was ranked
Losses to Toledo - I believe was ranked sometime that year
Bowling Green - also ranked that year
and NO BOWL GAME
Northwestern 6-6 bowl game
