I hope Zook does the right thing and coaches the bowl game. He doesn't owe it to the school for the way things were handled, but I think he has a kinship with his players that is hard to achieve, particularly for a team with a 4-loss season.

I don't care who comes in for Zook, it's not going to be easy to have success. These players have a guy they genuinely love as their HC...it's going to be hard to get a guy that can achieve that respect quickly.

The fans aren't in love with Zook, the media is. They would love nothing more than for the Zook firing to look bad, and will say anything to make that happen.
