Still 1:13 to play, LSU up 38 on OSU 24. I'm not terribly surprised, but I'm glad this game was much closer than last year. This is definitely a better Ohio State team, atleast IMO. There's already been the drama regarding LSU jumping so many spots to even play in this BCS Title game. I feel bad for the Ohio State players that have lost the National Championship two years in a row... I mean damn, there's probably lots of tears in that locker room... But I'm an SEC fan, so no doubt that I like this outcome. And plus, it's nice to be able to say the Razorbacks beat the National Championship winner.
One thing is for sure, though. The SEC has become an even stronger conference adding another National Championship coach to the bunch. That makes five or six? I'm losing count. But either way, the SEC as a whole has the best coaches in college football. And I don't remember who it was on FF that said there was an "SEC speed myth" -- but I don't think it's really a myth. That's not to say that other top teams in the country don't have speed, but it's definitely prevalent in the Southeastern Conference. Colt Brennan said about Georgia, "They're the fastest team I've ever seen." And it was power versus speed tonight. It was definitely a good game by both teams. LSU with its third 11-win season, and their second BCS Title in 5 years or so. I'll have to wait 'til tomorrow and post some more on this one.

Your right about the score Spider

Yeah, the score was right until OSU scored that last touchdown. Final score was 38-24... so he would have had it if OSU didn't score that last one, but ofcourse it was backwards.
1. This game was by no means a blow out, although I haven't heard anyone on FootballForum going as far as to say that. This Ohio State team was definitely much better than they were last season, despite the loss of several very talented players. I still don't think that Troy Smith should've won the Heisman Trophy, but he's obviously a better quaterback than Tedd Boeckman. Chris Wells has improved tremendously since last season, and OSU is definitely benefiting from him being in the starter spot. Antonio Pittman was a great runningback, but 'Beanie' Wells is the real deal. Wells is the complete package of power/athleticism/speed, being an ideal runningback behind those huge OSU offensive lineman. The OSU wideouts are good this season, but they're not spectacular after the loss of Tedd Ginn. But the biggest difference with the Buckeyes this season is with their incredible defense. Ohio State usually fields a great defense, but this year was a little bit different. Regardless, this game was by no means a blow out.
Chris 'Beanie' Wells 65-yard touchdown run
20 carries for 146 yards w/ 1 TD
2. Yes, I've been at the forefront of this argument regardinging SEC conference superiority compared to the rest of the country. And I've heard all kinds of people calling into the local Little Rock radio shows making the point that the Big-10 is at the bottom in terms of BCS teams. I don't really think it's right to disrespect an entire conference just with taking it in that type of context. The biggest thing to benefit the Big-10 this season was the Michigan win over Florida in a very exciting Capital One Bowl. And it's not like OSU just played a horrible game in New Orleans. The Southeastern Conference undoubtedly has the toughest competition with the best overall parody in college football. SEC teams also don't get rattled when they're down. But the top Big-10 teams happen to be some of the best in the country as well. I definitely still agree that the SEC is the toughest conference, with some of the most talented and athletic players. The SEC, as a whole, also has the best group of coaches in the country. Our conference now boasts FIVE National Championship coaches: Les Miles, Urban Meyer, Nick Saban, Phillip Fulmer, and Steve Spurrier. That number is definitely far superior to every other conference.
Early Doucet (6'1, 210lbs) 16-yard reception
7 receptions for 51 yards, 1 TD
3. (I'll finish my third point when I get home later... I've gotta go up to work for a bit.)
Matt Flynn (6'3, 227lbs)
19/27 for 174 yards w/ 4 TDs, 1 INT

What are you, one of the last Clownahan apologist? In case you did'nt see the game, the LSU players honored Pelini with a gatorade shower. Just like they did winning the SEC championship. Don't come jumping on the bandwagon when the order gets restored.
