Cowboys making a run
The Cowboys seem to be setting eveything up to make a run for the SB in the next two years. Here is why: BP signed a two year extention so he will coach this year and next and I feel that he will not be back after that. The past two years the team has signed several older players, Bledsoe, Ferguson, Rivera, Owens, and Fabinne(sp) to three year contracts. These players where brought in for short term help. Some of the big wholes they had last year have been answered by FA signings, Qwens & Fabinne and others. Here it is in a nut shell BP is one of only two coaches that hav won a SB then got another team to the SB, and he wants to go out on top. If he could win a SB in Dallas it would be viewed as a better coaching job then anything he had done in the past. Not so much by what he was able to do on the feild but that he was able to controll Jerry Jones at the same time.
Now are yu Cowboy fans out there dont worry that we are giving up on the future to win now we are not. Most of our older players have some one that is thought could take over when the time comes. The old FA that they are signing will not put us into cap hell in a few years when they are gone. Evens Owens contract is set up that if he is not preforming well he can be cut with a small cap hit. They are signing a lot of FA that are in the first year of being a FA, 5 years in the NFL, and they are signingg longer term contracts. These players will be playing for Dallas at their prime.

its a nice dream for you, but you have no stability at QB and it has to be a major concern. It will only take one time for Drew to get in TO's face and it will be a brawl. Fabini is an upgrade, but going from awful to mediocre isn't saying much. You are right that if they don't win in the next couple seasons, it will be awhile after that.

No stability at QB? Drew was stable last year. Now Mcnabb showed to be unstable. Drew was ranked number 8 out of 30. Mcnabb was what 18 out of 30? Bledsoe had 3,639 yards passing McNabb had 2,507. David Carr from huston was ranked 19 with 2,488. He was only 19 yards away from McNabb so would you also say Carr was stable?

BP is putting together a team to make a run for it in the next two years after that he will be leaving. One thing he always does is leave his team in good order. Most parts will be in place the one major part missing will be QB unless Henson can turn it around.
Mcnabb had a bad year last year because he was hurt from the start of the season. I would expect his numbers to be up this year but that will also depend on how good his WR preform.
The relationship between Bleadsoe and Owens should be different than the one he had with McNabb. McNabb showed that he was willing to let just about anything TO do just slip past. He did put his foot in it when he said TO should just take the money he was getting and be happy while he was getting a maxed out contract.

i wasn't referring to last season, I was referring to a career and drew is older than mcnabb, I meant stability for the long run and drew is nearing the end of a career whereas mcnabb is in the prime of his.

the Cowboys do look in great shape, both on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. They could make a pretty good run this season.

cowboys Oline will be much better this year. Fabinia(spelling?) stabalize the RT spot, and now they have quality depth (petiti, kaiser) the key is flozell staying healthy, and gourd(sp) replacing allen
