Fasano
could someone make some sense of Dallas taking him #2. Yes he is a good player (and im a ND fan). But no way they need a TE that high. Especially with espesally with some good Qbs, OT,s and Db's on the board

I agree completely, Witten is the man at TE in Dallas. There were guys all over who filled needs, and were plain better players, I didn't like the pick, unless Witten gets hurt. Then they are geniouses.

There were several good safeties on the board still. Bing and Watkins are still there though so maybe thats who they want.

ive read a couple places today that the cowboys plan on using alot of 2 TE sets, so now it makes a little sense, and considering how much the cowboys depend on Witten, he he gets hurt Fasano is a great step in

Dallas will go almost soley 2 TE's and no FB. When they line up it will be very hard for a team to cover everthing that Dallas can do. Also with two TE's it should help protect Bledsoe.

the pick makes alot more sense after I found that outmight be a little high though. I like what they did late though, some development type Olineman. Larry Allen was one of those guys once

I was a little confused by this pick as well. Parcells is implementing an almost strictly 2 TE offense and Fasano is coming from a system that is similar to the cowboys, in fact they showed parcells and JJ talking to Fasano on the phone. Parcells said to him, WE Drafted you to play and you should already be familiar with a lot of our playbook being that you were in a similar system" He will help a line that definitely needs help in protection. Pat McQuistan isn't as good as his twin Paul, but he could be a developmental project.

They did lose Campbell who was one of the better blocking TE's in the league...that's about the only reason I can think of, but IMO Dallas's whole draft had me scratching my head a bit.

I like watkind in the fourth, they got good value there at a need position. TE seemed a little high, even if they are playing 2 TE's, Ill wait till about week 8 to judge that.
